Spanning 8.5 kilometers, CCLEX will link mainland Cebu in Cebu City to Mactan Island through the municipality of Cordova.

With a navigational clearance of 51 meters for shipping traffic and a design speed of 80-90 kilometers per hour (kph), the toll expressway is expected to serve at least 50,000 vehicles daily.

The P30-billion toll bridge, which will be substantially completed by the end of 2021, will use a fully electronic toll system when it opens to motorists in the first quarter of 2022. This will enable faster traffic flow and seamless travel.
